Oleksiy Kandyuk – scientist, political expert.
Fields of expertize: European integration, transatlantic relations, international and national security, problems of transitional societies.
Began his academic career in 2003 at the Yuriy Fedkovich National University of Chernivtsi. He also lectured at the University of Lodz and the Wisconsin International University. Over 20 years of experience in higher education and research. Ph.D in Political Science in the specialty of "Political Problems of International Systems and Global Development".
Apart from academic activities, a lot of projects were realized in the NGO framework. The NGOs leaded and cooperated with were mainly engaged in research and development of projects in the field of state policy, national security, and social transformations. We also provided scientific, expert and research assistance to state and local authorities, international organizations, civic organizations and scientific institutions; contributed to cooperation between state and non-state organizations.
As the founder and director of the EU Accession and Association Initiative, coordinated information and analytical and expert activity on Ukraine's integration into the European Union and NATO, as well as scientific and sociological research in the field of European integration.
Was responsible for the development and presentation of proposals on acceleration and deepening of European integration of Ukraine at the level of state authorities, local self-government and non-governmental organizations. Fostered close cooperation with neighboring states, international organizations, foreign institutions and experts on the main problems of European integration and creation of joint research groups, exchange of scientific results, publications, as well as trans-border cooperation between scientists from neighboring countries and EU member states.
Is the author of more than 50 scientific works and op-eds in the field of international and domestic politics.
